Callaway Golf’s latest instalment of the Big Bertha Series is ‘EPIC’.
The most recent sibling of the Great Big Bertha Range, is ‘the’ innovation statement from Callaway. This is largely down to the New ‘Jailbreak Technology’, that prevents the Driver head from diverging at impact, which is usually the cause for losses in energy at impact. This has been achieved by installing two 3g bars, that are situated behind the head of the driver. This solidifies the Driver structure at impact, allowing for the face to flex Independently and increase the ball speeds from all strike locations on the face.
The crown is also 64% lighter and 34% thinner than previous models, with Callaway labelling this the ‘Epic Triaxial Crown’.
A return for the ‘Exoskeleton’ frees up 37g in weight, that can be redistributed to achieve a more effective CG location and boost the overall performance of the Driver.
The Fujikura Pro Shaft features HIT Technology for improved accuracy and stability during the swing.
